More about Market Square House

Dating back to the 1800s, Market Square House is a large country house in a great location, making it perfect for a group of friends or a larger family to get together in a unique and idyllic location in the pretty village of Fring, a few minutes drive from Brancaster. With access to an outdoor swimming pool and tennis court in the summer months, this characterful, stylish and modern hideaway is rather special.

With a pantiled roof and chalk and carrstone walls, this very large semi-detached property seamlessly blends the traditional with the contemporary and is perfect if you want to escape for a weekend or a longer stay. Once three separate cottages, it is now one spacious holiday home. The sitting room has a fabulous wood burning stove and Sky TV, perfect when you want to all gather together and snuggle down on winter evenings, and there is a connecting snug room for cosy chats if some want to splinter off from the main party, yet still want to be part of the conversation when preparing meals with friends and family in the kitchen. The statement room is undoubtedly the large open-plan kitchen/dining room with its vaulted ceiling and beams. Well-equipped and stylish with a large dining table to seat 10, it is a great social space.

On the ground floor you will also find a very large master bedroom with beautiful en-suite shower room providing privacy for two guests or equally it would be ideal if you are a multi-generational family group with guests who need ground floor accommodation.

On the first floor, accessed via two separate staircases, you will discover three beautifully appointed bedrooms. From the staircase out of the snug you will find a fabulous king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room and from the staircase located to the front of the house, you have access to two further bedrooms, one with flexible sleeping arrangements plus a stunning family bathroom with freestanding roll-top bath and separate shower cubicle.

This house really does offer everything an extended family or several groups of friends might need to have a fabulous stay close to the coast and within a short drive of North Norfolk's best cafe's, delicatessens and pubs/restaurants. With great opportunities for walking, cycling and swimming and playing tennis on the Fring estate, which Market Square House is part of, you have plenty of things to do without taking the car out.

To the rear of Market Square House you will find a good sized terrace area which offers peaceful alfresco dining in the warmer months. A few steps lead you up into the large fully-enclosed private lawned garden, facing out to the parkland and grounds of Fring Hall which is the main estate house.
Unwind on long summer days and breathe in the countryside air. The property has its own gravelled courtyard to the front which isn't enclosed, but provides parking for at least six cars.

If you are a larger party, Market Square House can also be booked in conjunction with Gardener's Cottage and Park Cottage which are also located on the Fring Estate, along with the utterly romantic Little Potting Shed set into the Walled Garden which surrounds Gardener's and Park. In total the estate properties can accommodate up to 28 guests, allowing privacy whilst also providing the opportunity to come together and celebrate a special occasion.

Additional Information:
Bike rental is available by arrangement with the owner and offers you a great option for exploring the Fring Estate and local area both on road or trail. With mountain bikes and road bikes to choose from as well as children’s bikes and trailers, this is a great opportunity not to have to pack and bring them with you. Details of how to pre-book your bikes will be contained in the arrival guide. You also have access to the shared tennis court and outdoor swimming pool (both available 1st May-30th September, 10am - 4pm), which guests of Gardener's Cottage, Park Cottage and the Little Potting Shed can also use.
